Ft. Bragg |
| |
The physical therapy clinic at Fort Bragg was looking to purchase an unweighting system for their facility. They were not interested in harness systems because they are too restrictive and their patients need something they can get in and out of easily on their own. They have a pool for therapeutic use, but as the Major who is the head physical therapist pointed out, “Soldiers need to run.” The advantage of the G-Trainer for them was that it is easy to adjust weight in precise increments, and the comfort during use made the G-Trainer the easy choice for Fort Bragg. Soldiers are using the G-Trainer for everything from ankle to knee to spine injuries and post surgery care.

Dathan Ritzenhein |
| |
A Nike professional distance runner, Dathan Ritzenhein was introduced to the G-Trainer by Alberto Salazar, famed marathon runner and Director of the Nike Oregon Project, after Dathan incurred a stress-related injury in his foot. With the G-Trainer, Dathan could continue to train, pain-free and without risk of further injury, while he healed. Just 8 weeks after the injury diagnosis, Dathan won the Healthy Kidney 10K. Dathan continues to cross-train on the G-Trainer regularly and joined the 2008 Olympic marathon team after coming in second at the trials with a personal best time of 2:11:07.
